Rosa died of burns suffered after her robe caught on fire from a gas heater. Her sister Hulda thought for years (and told her daughter Rose) that Rosa had committed suicide. Rosa had been in ill health and depressed since her husband Jerre died. It was not until years later that a psychologist told Rose that women almost never commit suicide in this manner. |
